Umpire Clinic

COVID-19 Adjustment: The clinic is planned to be in a classroom setting, but due to the Illinois State requirements for  Covid-19 virus we may have to shift to a on line format. Attendees will be notified as soon as we know and will make every effort to make the shift as smooth as possible.

  • Train new officials to become competent High School Level Baseball/Softball umpires
  • Learn basic rules
  • Learn basic mechanics
  • Connect with a local officials association for assignments, advanced training and mentoring. The entire clinic cost is $15 for IHSA officials, payable in advance or at the door. Students (High School or College) will be admitted for free with a Student ID Card.
